Mission Statement

A strong business model is the basis for design to create real impact—for people, the planet, and the organisations behind them.

Biography

Pia Betton is a business leader and design professional with more than 25 years of experience helping organisations grow, adapt, and make better decisions through design-driven thinking and leadership excellence. Her career spans design, consulting, entrepreneurship, and senior management — always focused on turning strong ideas into real impact through collaboration, structure, and clarity.

She began her path in Copenhagen and Berlin’s design scene and quickly became known for connecting creative ambition with business reality. Over the years, she has led design teams, built companies, and advised leadership groups on innovation, customer experience, business case design and organisational change. Her approach is straightforward — listen carefully, develop frameworks and systems, create unique solutions – and carefully monitor execution.

As a founder and business owner, Pia understands the balance between creativity and operational discipline. She has built teams, shaped cultures, and developed long-term partnerships with clients who value focus, honesty, and results. Her entrepreneurial experience has made her equally at home in strategy meetings and creative workshops — always ensuring that vision and execution stay aligned.

In her years leading large design organisations, Pia managed multidisciplinary teams and brought design methods into complex, technology-driven environments. She helped shift the perception of design from a craft to a strategic discipline, influencing how companies approach products, services, and user experience. Her work has ranged from enterprise software and digital platforms to branding, graphic design and service ecosystems.

Today, Pia works as an advisor to leadership teams, helping them navigate change, strengthen collaboration, and sharpen their strategic direction. She supports leaders in defining priorities, building effective structures, and making decisions that connect purpose and vision with measurable results. Her coaching and facilitation style is grounded in real-world perspectives and built on trust, curiosity, and clear communication.

She has worked with international teams across sectors and cultures, often during times of transition — from rebrands and reorganisations to digital transformations. Her calm presence and ability to simplify complexity have made her a trusted partner for leaders who need to unite diverse perspectives and move from uncertainty to action.

Questionnaire

Where do you want to foster change and why?

I would like to support designers and organisations in making sense of rapid change through clear frameworks that enable confident, focused action.

What or who influenced you during your professional career?

Exploring design thinking, agility, and cultural transformation moved my focus from design execution to the impact of strategic design.

We all have those significant moments or situations (success or failure); which one was yours, and what did you learn from it?

Working with a business consultancy in the early 2000s showed me that my limited business knowledge and vocabulary reduced the impact of our design work with leadership groups. My NLP master programme revealed the importance of motivation and empathy in business transformation. “People change, organisations don’t”.
