Biography
Stephanie Hankey is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of Tactical Tech, an international NGO working on the impact of technology and society, where she leads the Climate and AI Initiative. An award winning creative practitioner, designing public engagement initiatives that have been shown in over 90 countries, she has worked to build the capacity of decision makers on ethics, technology and society for over 20 years. Stephanie was made an Ashoka Fellow for her pioneering work on critical thinking and public engagement on digital literacy, she has a Loeb Fellowship from Harvard University, was a Rockefeller Bellagio resident on Climate and AI, served on the European expert panel on Digitalisation for Sustainability and led the development of the 2030 strategy for the Ellen Macarthur Foundation. Stephanie has a Masters in Computer Related Design from the Royal College of Art.
